Wooden wick candles provide a unique experience. They last longer and cleaner. And the soft crackle sound will create a cozy and soothing ambiance. But they do require a bit of extra care. Here are our tips to get the most out of your wooden wick candle.
Lighting For The First Time
Burn your candle until wax melts across entire surface to the sides of the container. This prevents “tunneling”, and creates an even burn for the duration of the candle’s life. This may take up to 2-3 hours.
Trim Wick
Always trim your wooden wick to 5 mm before each burn to promote an even burn, steady flame and keep the wax clean.
Time For a New Candle
Discontinue use of your candle when there is about 1 cm of wax remaining at the bottom. Lighting the candle without enough wax in the base can cause the jar to overheat.
Safe Use of The Candles
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep away from children and pets.
• Only burn candle on an even and fire-resistant surface.
• Do not touch container while the candle is burning, container might get hot.
• Do not burn candle for longer than 4 hours at a time.
• Do not move a burning candle.
Nature of Product
Please note that our candles are handmade and may vary in appearance and have some imperfections. This is all apart of the natural nature of the product and cannot be deemed a fault. Candle tins are made from natural and recycled material and thus can sometimes carry (very minor) imperfections, like faint indents, marks and scratches. These do not in any way affect the performance of our product, and the buyer must understand that there is a risk there will be a slight variation between each tin.
